2020 was so very hard. It was actually one of the hardest I’ve ever experienced. And to be honest 2021 hasn’t improved a single bit. But what has remained is the Father’s faithfulness through it all. I believe it all comes down to having eyes to see His goodness in the midst of chaos and darkness.
I see it in His timing–How He surprises me with things like a new baby goat being born after a rough night of getting no sleep. He knows just what will make me smile when I need it the most.
I see it in how He blesses me with friends and family who pray and help in times of need.
I see it in the wild dance parties my kids love to have.
In the cute jumps and running of baby goats.
In the way the sunlight streams in the front windows marking new day full of new mercy.
And most of all in my husband’s love and care for me.
2021 might not get any better as far as politics or pandemic go, but no matter what, we can have eyes to see His goodness.
And in the seeing, let us never forget to thank Him. It’s true gratitude that will move His heart the most.
I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones! Ephesians 1:18
And really this sums up what all of my future blogging will be about. Me sharing just how I see His goodness. Because life truly is a battle for truth and beauty. This blog is part of my fight to see and share light over darkness. So, I hope you’ll join me as I share the joys of my heart–as I see the Lord’s beauty in His creation, within motherhood, marriage, ministry, and even in the seemingly mundane.
And now, just to share some of the beauty I see—
But please don’t think my house isn’t a mess right now or that I don’t have tons of laundry to do. That’s all still there. But, I don’t find those things beautiful so I’m leaving them out! HA
